Founded in 1982...
Hanh Rachefsky started her first window treatment and distribution company, Danah Distributors, in Beltsville, Maryland.
For over three decades, she built a reputation for exact craftsmanship, supplying high-end draperies, shades, blinds, and exclusive textiles strictly to the interior design trade, growing the company into one of the premier custom window furnishing fabricators in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.
Her work quickly expanded into some of the most prominent residential, commercial, and diplomatic spaces across the nation.
During Danah Distributors
Under Hanh’s leadership, the business became a trusted partner for elite private clients, international government institutions, and major venues.
Her most notable commissions included fabricating custom backdrops for Presidential Inauguration Ballrooms for administrations ranging from George H.W. Bush to Barack Obama. And interior design work in The White House and in The United States Capitol.
She also crafted bespoke window treatments for the Japanese, Russian, Swiss, Kuwait and Togo Embassies in Washington, D.C., while supplying luxury installations for the Ritz-Carlton in Naples, Florida, Joe Theismann’s Restaurant in Alexandria, Virginia, and private homes for multiple Washington Redskins (Commanders) players across the DMV including the NFL’s Hall of Fame, Darrell Green.
